Well this is the first blog on Vlad's Pad... and we're going to do what we do all the time here at ISB: REFLECT!!!
Today we're going to reflect on Gmail and the way I feel a about it. Well, I have opened it more than a year ago but have not been using it that much lately. I guess that the main reason is that most of my contacts are on my hotmail account and most of my friends and acquaintances use MSN messenger for communication.
Through my experience with Gmail - although not that extensive - I have realized that what makes it such a handy tool is the variety of Web tools that come along with it which other E-mail programs do not offer.
One of the tools that I can see being used in education is the Google Reader which could come in handy when students are doing on-line research. It is a great tool for narrowing down and directing the flow of information and this is a great advantage on an Internet overflowing with information.
Whaddya think?
